"Soon I turned to the conclusion of the story. The good man emerged successfully after foiling all the evil designs of the villain who was totally vanquished. I was so happy. However, I began reading the story from where I had left earlier. As I read about the wicked deeds of the villain one after another, I was muttering to myself: If he had only known what would happen to him at the end, he won’t have behaved like this!”
Very often, we have to face many problems in our lives. But like that young man, we too know our destiny which is always good. The Bible also says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). That is why Apostle Paul says: “Rejoice always because this is the will of God concerning you.” When will we be able to rejoice? Lord Jesus Himself says: “If you loved me, you would be glad…” (John 14:28).
God has promised never to forsake us. We can boldly approach His throne of grace for help in our time of need. He will never turn us away as He is so good and compassionate. He has such deep love for us and He wants us to be happy all the time. Yes, since we belong to God, we can rejoice always in the hope that He will never forsake us.
