HIGHER THAN YOURS

The heart of God continuously thinks about you (Psalm 40:17). “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). When God thinks about you, He makes His thoughts come and dwell in you and removes your sinful thoughts. When Jesus Christ sojourned on this earth, He had to wage a battle against the thoughts of men and perform a miracle to break the sinful thoughts of men. It is attested in the Bible that people in those days thought that Jesus Christ did not have power to forgive sins (Matthew 9:4). They kept going with the thought, “We ought to remain as sinners life long.” The people of this world think that one should die in their sins and that there is no redemption. Most people think that they are worst sinners in the whole wide world and that their sins could not be forgiven by God. ‘I am a sinner. Nobody can forgive me. God hates me.” Such are the carnal thoughts of men. These thoughts naturally keep reverberating in the heart of any man or woman who commits sin. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8, 9). The thought of God is to break the power of sin, forgive you and make you His child.
